Mary Helen’s
Restaurant features Southern and Creole cuisine, including
favorites such as gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans with sausage
on white rice. If you’re in the mood for Creole, Mary Helen’s
can serve it up! But it’s also music which is becoming a big
draw at Mary Helen’s. Thursday and Friday nights, she has live
jazz and jamming. We have The Blue with open MIC and poetry.
We do jazz every
Thursday night from six until ten. We have jazz and R & B and
blues on Friday nights from eight to eleven," said owner Mary
Helen Thomas Jackson. Mary Helen's is all about a mix of Creole
Soul.
Mary Helen's is
constantly thinking of how to make the restaurant "the place to
go" for entertainment and exciting new dishes. She has many
plans to make this happen in the near future.
